The angry man can be seen confronting the vegan campaigners, who held up screens showing animal slaughter and used the megaphones to get their point across to shoppers.

One man took direct action against the protesters, grabbing a loudhailer from an activist named Ella Wild and breaking it on the ground before walking away.

Ms Wild posted a video of the incident on her Instagram, calling the shopper who retaliated “an angry customer”.

Most of the commenters sided with the shopper, with one saying: “Good man glad someone done it”.

Nah, by being a dick about it, plenty of ways to express your disagreement and provide arguments without attacking me. But hey, I still stand by my original post that started our interaction, most vegans a good chill people who don’t deserve to be made to look bad.

      See your other comment:

You walk into a shop with a megaphone and start taunting people through it, you deserve what you get, regardless of why you were doing it.

In my opinion you lost the right of not being talked to in a dickish way when you wrote this. If according to you physically assaulting people who try to make the world better is justified, I’m not gonna answer politely and wait the slap on the other cheek.

k, think this through. all the vegans you encounter are actively engaging in vocal activism. or those are just the ones getting added to your mental schema of what a vegan even is. so every vegan who just passes you on the street doesn’t get sorted into the schema.
