Works well for cans, though, in my experience.
For a while I had a fiber SFP that was amazing at opening cans, too.

I used to have a Linux laptop at work. I was even allowed to install my chosen distro. Then the IT department said “we don’t really know Puppet or how to manage Linux, but we know JAMF, so you’re all getting Macs now.”
My job satisfaction has gone down since then. However, in more positive news, they did end up giving away the old Linux laptops to the employees when they moved office.
Sounds like we’re on the same page.
The model of Flex I had didn’t have this, but some models had a minifridge built into them. I forget whether “built in” was an option, but you could also fit a decent sized mattress into the back as well. While I don’t travel much, I suspect the car would have been fantastic for road tripping; my only concern would have been the battery life, but perhaps that concern would have been unfounded.
I originally justified getting it for two main reasons:
Of course, the real reason I got one was that the first time I saw one on the road I said something like “what is that?! I want one!”
Nowadays I want a similar vehicle (or a van as you suggested) but electric. Sadly, while many options matching that desire seem to exist, few or none of them are in the US and even fewer at a reasonable price.
No worries, at least from me, about reviving a dead thread; I appreciate the engagement.
If you scroll through my comment history, you’ll find a few comments about my previous vehicle, a Ford Flex. One of many reasons I miss it is that it had hauling capacity plus enclosure (I’m aware you can get covers for most if not all US pick-up trucks). One time I confidently transported a queen sized mattress within it, for example; every one of the few times I’ve tried to transport anything in an uncovered pick-up I’ve spent the entire drive checking whether the load was still in the bed, but that was never necessary in what was essentially a large minivan.
I think, in the case of the Home Depot truck, I ended up renting a U-Haul (or equivalent) instead.
This is certainly more detail than I expected at all, let alone almost a month later.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Honestly, that was some 25-30 years ago. It was pretty simple to setup back then, but it might not be the same now, especially in Windows.
I used to be able to do that, too! These days, I live with two people: an adult wife and a toddler. Their gaits are pretty easily distinguishable.
I used to almost exclusively listen to any kind of audio through headphones. I had a microphone near my desk configured so that it would pass through the vibration of footsteps directly to my headphones. I was rarely startled, no matter what sordid activity I was undertaking.
“Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead.”
(Even then I’m not so sure)
Originally they started the title with … Sigh … A hashtag. In markdown, starting a line with this makes it a header, which generally increases the size of the text. Probably your client tried to respect this, though I think it’s unusual for a client to do that for a post title.
Sounds about right to me.
As a pubescent teenager at the time, the main thing I remember is the pre-hot-coffee controversy.
Or involve two people but, depending on your circumstances, this might introduce other complications.
You and I went very different ways with this.
I thought they were referring to a three point turn and asking how many points were involved in this turn.
Probably … Probably you were closer to the original intent of the comment.
That could be, but the bowl is communal between our four animals. I wish she wouldn’t.
That does sound very annoying! The first time I noticed my cat doing this, her food and litter box were in the basement, which was stone and dirt in that house. (We put them down there because it was the only place in that house where we could practically prevent the dog from getting to them.) Nowadays the cat stuff is in, essentially, a much cleaner sun porch; as a result, we still have to clean her bowl more frequently than seems reasonable, but it lasts a lot longer than it used to.
For some reason one of my cats only drinks water that she scoops up with her foot.
It means we have to clean her bowl way more often than should be necessary because the debris her feet collect gets deposited in the water bowl.
Well, most nights, sunlight still bounces off the moon before it hits the earth and its inhabitants. This could imply that the sunlight is only dangerous to a vampire prior to interacting with another solid object. If one is willing to assume that the lens and its various filters qualify as a solid object, that could explain the lack of death.
Presumably the only reason they don’t employ this loophole on Earth is because an astronaut just walking around would draw unwanted attention.
Alternatively, perhaps the vampire keeps its back towards the nearest star at all times.
Possibly a lawyer.
Maybe even specializing in bird law.
