My feed is full of weather, and I ♥️ it.
Whoa, thank you! I can’t select text in the Liftoff app, but this one weird trick works.
Sounds like I need to look at this Fish place instead.
For me it was cache and storage. Just cache didn’t work. (Using Liftoff)
To be counted as active, you have to have commented or at least liked a post/comment, IIRC. So if you’re hopping around from one login to another within 24 hours and actively engaging on them then yes, you’d be counted more than once in these stats. If you’re just lurking, no.
They’re not here yet. I’m actually not sure they’re on Mastodon yet, either. They delayed federation implementation.
IDK, do you have something interesting to share?
I think it’s an app issue, not dependent on which instance you’re on. I’m on world and clicked through to a couple shit just works links just fine. I’m using Liftoff on Android.
If the links don’t work, you can just search for the communities through your app’s search feature, or on the website itself.
This might be a stupid question, so forgive me. Who controls what happens to the actual software? Like, if a hundred great ideas get added to the GitHub, who controls which ones make it into the next version of Lemmy?
No, of course not, but I’m willing to be patient. This place grew very fast, and Lemmy itself was a tiny place before all of this. I remember the old days of reddit, too, and how sketch everything was. I hope it doesn’t take very long for basic issues like this to get fixed by the people who know how to do that (which definitely is not me), and I’m okay with mostly chatting amongst ourselves for a bit. (TBF though, I do get responses back from people on other instances, so my messages appear to be getting through eventually.) I’m excited for this thing to work, and feel impatient myself at times, but there is a whole heck of a lot of work that will need to be done to make this place fully functional. This is just one of many issues, and I am here for the ride!
Except, apparently, we are the void. Probably why most people on this instance haven’t noticed a problem.
I’m on a Mastodon that’s defederated and a Lemmy that’s federated. Let the games begin!
