Just create aliases with words you’ll remember. Fart, Fart2, ect.
I sell on ebay and while I don’t go that far out of my way I do put a little thank you stamp on the packing slip, make sure everything is packed correctly and I go out of my way to make sure that the item is shipped either same day or next day if they order later in the day. People are always grateful that they get their items so fast. I often sell spare parts for things off of already broken items, but even things like cassette tapes I imagine that they want it for the weekend or it’s for a gift for someone.
Anything made in the past 10-15 years still works great, I have a couple of really old thin clients that I bought for around $20 and dumped my pis when the prices were way up. One runs octoprint and the other one runs Lubuntu out in the garage so I can look up vehicle specs and other things while I’m out there. I have a fifth Gen Intel laptop that still works great. I have a desktop with a Ryzen 3000 series that works just fine both bought used for under $100. Raspberry pi is good for certain tasks, but using it for a desktop makes little sense. Even now I’m working this message on an Android phone that was around $100 with no issues.

You can also just buy a used laptop or business computer which is infinitely better and cheaper.
I suppose you could use targeted social media algorithms to target people within a certain area who are service workers who are more likely to see him. So they could theoretically manipulate people into better recognizing him.
I think that the gun and everything else were dumped and found and the cops are saying he had them on him when he didn’t. I think they know it’s him, but they didn’t use legal means to identify him (parallel construction). They might have used some kind of new way of tracking people that they don’t want to reveal to the public.
Fourth option, he’s taking the fall for a love interest.
People were pirating games over bbs in the 80s. I have a shoebox of 5.25" floppies for the commodore 64 with hand written labels.
