Kind of funny how this gets taken down and yet there are a plethora of discords dedicated just to almost openly selling Methamphetamine… shows you who holds real power.

I guess my point is my wife has Iphone, I don’t. It would be way easier for her to come back to android, then for me to go to apple, I would have to buy so many cords and peripheral stuff. The only thing that probably wouldn’t work is the watch she complains about anyway if she came back.

Transitioning from Android to IPhone, is also a bitch. I had the opportunity to buy a basically new ~1k+ iPhone for $200 and just completely passed the offer because between migrating play stuff and learning apple how to be stuck in apple was just not worth it.

I think it’s part of the game and growing pains. You want high quality comments? Well you need more users, 75% of which will rarely post anything, 15% will spam low quality comments, and 10% might submit good posts and we’ll thought out comments. Those numbers are probably a little inflated, but you just need to frow the base and what we are looking for will eventually be there. There will just be a ton of other nonsense, but that’s the good part about upvote/downvotes and different ranking sorting systems.

It will take time, and a lot of people, for a long time will complain that Lemmy is becoming worse, while it slowly gets better.

The project devs currently have like 300 bucks a week comitted to them… kind of sad

I think your over thinking this. Just don’t buy anything obviously insulting like Alcohol or pork. As others pointed out, trying to match their tastes is going to be tricky.

It’s the thought that counts, if there is something in a basket they can’t consume they will likely just regift that item.
