I am very sad that I’ve scrolled several pages and haven’t seen the obvious one (though I could just be blind):
Deus Ex.
Edit: or perhaps it’s because Deus Ex is from 2000 and I don’t know if it counts yet. Maybe I’ll wait 'til next year!

I was reading the BBC live updates of the ‘briefing’ where Trump ‘answered questions.’ Starts at 17:21 if you scroll down.
Of course he blames it on DEI hires. He also blamed the helicopter and later said it was because of ‘practicing.’
Why does he think it’s DEI hires, you ask? Well, Trump answered, and I quote: “Because I have common sense, and unfortunately a lot of people don’t.”
What the actual fuck. Donald “I have common sense” fucking Trump. Lmfao.
But I just don’t get it. How is standing a customer service? It doesn’t add anything except suffering to the cashier.
Other grocery stores don’t let their cashiers sit? Wtf? Standing still for 8+ hours sounds like hell? Why would you force someone to do that?
I’ve never been to a grocery store where cashiers were forced to stand and I’ve lived in 4 different countries in the past decade. This is an American thing, yes? But why?
Oh the graphics don’t bother me at all, the Legndary edition holds up fine, I think. But ME1 has the best story in the trilogy, it’s why I still play it. I still remember the first time I played it. Being made a Spectre, speaking to Sovereign, the attack on the Citadel. How scary and unknowable the Reapers were. Hanging up on the Council. ;) The main storyline is better than 2 and 3 combined, imo. However, you are right that ME1 has some issues. While the Legendary Edition fixed a lot of the issues (and it does play smoothly, I do think), there are some things in ME1 that have become so tedious I don’t even do them anymore. Mainly talking about the exploration of unchartered worlds and the terrible handling of the Mako, or how every outpost looks the same, every mine looks the same, with the exact same layout. Makes it feel way more dated than it feels if you only go through the story. Not to mention the headache that is inventory management and swapping weapons and mods and grenades, turning everything into omni-gel because the stupid mini-game is even more annoying than inventory management!
For this reason I made a few save games that I 100%ed (one paragon, one renegade, different romances, etc). And I backed those up. Now, whenever I play ME1 I only do the main storyline and some side quests, and ignore the rest, lol. Then in ME2 I import one of the files I saved. Cut out all the tedium. ;)
Mass Effect trilogy.
Or maybe Bioshock.
Either/both.
Very late edit: Deus Ex. I still play it every once in a while and while the graphics are terrible, it’s a lot better with GMDX and you get used to it very quickly. That game is still a masterpiece.
Well, I mean let’s be realistic. This is never going to kill reddit (though it might lower the content quality quite a bit). Don’t underestimate how many people just don’t care, who just want to scroll and read in their favorite subs. The people already using the official app. Those people aren’t going anywhere.
But I’m sort of very okay with that, to be honest. We don’t need ALL reddit users to come here. I’ve noticed I like the quiet here. Comments won’t get snowed over within 3 minute, people seem to be more polite and decent, commenting on posts older than a day is still ‘viable.’ These are all positives in my book.
Yup, that’s it exactly. It’s surreal to see the same thing happening over and over. I check in every now and then to see what they’re talking about and sometimes I really feel like I’m in some alternate reality. Their perception of things is so completely different. They still think Trump has some kind of master plan and that all the tariffs are chess moves to make other countries comply with his demands. They’re also convinced that all the short-term pain will result in long-term prosperity and that the U.S. will be respected again and back to its rightful place as world leader.
And I’m here thinking… are we talking about the same guy? It makes no sense. I don’t understand how they can see/listen to Trump and get this impression.
They weren’t happy with the tariffs at first. Some post were really critical, but now they kind of all got on board and suddenly they all agree with it. It was even worse with the Signal leak thing. At first some of them were so pissed about it. But then suddenly they pivoted to blaming the journalist for not leaving the chat and then they started some argument about semantics, like they weren’t ‘war plans’ they were ‘battle strategies’ as if changing the words actually changed the issues. By the end they all agreed that a mistake might have been made, but they are all loyal to Trump and loyalty is super important.
Surreal.
