I assume SSH is not exposed to the internet by default on openSUSE? I have not used SSH on my install so should I be safe if I just update?

Maybe I’m old but I’m really getting annoyed with apps becoming so bloated with features. The podcast integration was part of why I left Spotify. I was tired of having podcasts pop up on my home screen. Tidal luckily is free from this for the moment.

It’s not a minimum before a check is issued. If you do not have a certain number of annual listeners on a track you never get paid out for it. If you had 100 tracks that were each streamed by 999 listeners who each streamed them 100 times per year every year, Spotify will no longer pay you a dime, ever.

I think a key point of confusion is in the way they presented it. They talk about how many songs have “less than 1000 listens” and that those would only make $3, but then their new policy is to deny payment for “less than 1000 listeners.” If each of those listeners streamed the song once per month, you’re talking closer to $40 than $3, and that’s on a per song basis.

The newest part, which is Spotify refusing to payout what small artists are owed if they don’t hit a certain streaming threshold, is 100% on Spotify.

For alternatives, Tidal allegedly pays better and at least doesn’t do this. Qobuz is not owned by any big tech company.

I did, I cancelled Spotify and switched to Tidal because of this, and noted the reason in my exit survey.

Since you’re talking about city travel, do you care about traffic? That has been my main issue with any alternatives.

• Osmand: solid overall, you do need to buy Osmand+ in the play store if you need Android Auto functionality though (the f-droid version does not work with AA). But no traffic data so you’ll get the best route if there was no traffic. Another quirk is that you need to download the region you’re navigating in - you can view maps online but can’t navigate without the downloaded maps. And downloads are large chunks - it is by country or state/province so you’re likely using a lot of storage that you don’t need.
• OrganicMaps: a cleaner interface than Osmand while using the same map data. No Android Auto support. It still needs to download maps but can auto download as you go and uses smaller chunks so you can download more locally.
• MapFactor: one of the early offline options on Android before Google Maps offered the option to download. It has traffic data but I’ve found routing to be mediocre. It’s also subscription based rather than a purchase.

It’s tricky because the data itself is going to be biased here. Think about it - even the video game is specifically called “Spider-Man Miles Morales” while the one with Peter Parker is just called “Spider-Man.”

Katniss is actually a good example. I was not aware of the details, but the books apparently describe her as having “olive skin”. The problem though is that if you image search her all you get is Jennifer Lawrence.

Yeah my Shield TV is on 1.68 and it works so I guess it’s not the specific version. Still, the inconsistent performance is annoying. Not bad enough to get me to sell the speakers, but bad enough for me to not recommend them.

The issue is with different Cast firmware versions. The Nest Audio is at 2.57 and my Nest Hub is at 1.71. The CCwGTV is likely kept up to date with the Nest Audio.
