My games were all pirated. Covers had a handwritten list of all games on the cassette (and later CD). The first legit game I’ve ever seen was Mortal Kombat Trilogy and I remember being taken aback by the waste of using a full CD for a single game (iirc the game used just 30 MB of space on that CD).
I use multilingual keyboard layouts, so I know that at least on Windows the selected layout is specific to each window. If I chat with someone in one language, then switch to my IDE, it will not keep the layout I used in the chat window.
But I also have accidently hit the combination to change layouts while doing something, so it can happen. I’m just surprised that Cyrillic с is on the same key as C, instead of S.

There’s probably a rule that requires variables to start with a letter or underscore. Emoji are nor marked as letters. Something like _👍 will probably work.
I can’t imagine how something like homograph attacks can happen accidentally. If someone does this in code, they probably intended to troll other contributors.
Isn’t unicode support for programming not something new? I’ve seen a lot of code using Cyrillic or Chinese characters.

I checked the world record for 16 stars and it’s 14:35. I expected it to be much further from the blindfolded record. Makes it even more impressive.
I grew up as a PC gamer (if you can call 8-bit computers PCs too) and never had a console as a kid. I got an Xbox One when it came out, just because of the Kinect, and never played anything on it other than Just Dance. Playing on my PC is more convenient. I got a Switch and played some Pokémon, but couldn’t get in the habit of playing on a device instead of a PC. When I got a Switch emulator on my PC, I played more on that than I did on the actual Switch in all the time I owned it.
But why is a character from Alien: Romulus there? Did he get confused for Ford Prefect? But Ford would not speak against towels. So yeah, still confusing…

For me it’s just convenience. It’s not because vim is better, but because it works on any terminal. I don’t depend on a particular IDE setup, I can jump on any computer and start working. And since I’ve been using it for so many years I’m very fast in it. The best tool is often the one you know best.
Not sure why you’d remember the ones you rarely need. I just memorized the things I use. Remembering stuff you use is much easier than learning a programming language. I’ve been programming for over 30 years and I’ve been using vim as my only “IDE” for the last 14 years. It would take me significantly less time to teach someone vim than to teach them programming.
And vim/emacs are rated just as difficult as a programming language

I think that’s exactly the point. Anyone can use AI, but that doesn’t make then all artists. But there is a place for AI in art, like many other tools. Same as for other tools, jusy knowing how to use them doesn’t make you an artist. Just look at all the bad Photoshop stuff everywhere. Does that mean that using Photoshop makes you a talentless hack? Or just that a lot of hacks use it to pretend they’re artists? Same for AI.
Compared to what it takes to become a policeman in the US, it’s definitely a higher level of training. Hard to find a direct US equivalent.
