At this point I think the greater issue is that fans didn’t learn from Starfield (or FO76, arguably FO4/Skyrim too at least enough for a trend line if you care about the RPG aspect of it). Why would Bethesda ever change course if they continue raking in money? It really seems like people aren’t even waiting for reviews.

I was going to say that it’d be a coin flip on if this actually has the same re-occurring bugs that the UOP fixed, though I see that it’s going to be 3rd-party so that may change the odds a bit.

Kbin.social (what I was talking about) seems permanently 50x (it seems now even CSS is broken).

I think most of what I was seeing was actually from a sports-dedicated instance, fanaticus.social, so that might be where you want to go (people are posting, not sure if it’s lively enough for discussion though). I’m not sure why it doesn’t show up here, maybe it’s better federated with Mbin (or other Kbin instances)?

I’m glad, community blocking is super underpowered due to the fragmentation (I was endlessly blocking sports stuff back on Kbin). I don’t want to do that again (though instance blocking may be more effective here, assuming it isn’t just for hosted media like Kbin’s instance blocking).

I am an O.I. (organic intelligence), I just need to get my brain preserved. I’m sure the MPAA would love to have a defendant getting (technically) sentenced to death (even if the charge was for an over-the-air TV show that ended its syndication in 1993).

Seems a bit odd to have so much standard, correct-era tech. Having anachronism seems like the point, the futurism bit. Like Quadrilateral Cowboy, or often Cowboy Bebop.

The one exception may be the stuff like that Nissan 300ZX (1985) digital dashboard, that feels anachronistic in an entirely different way. I could imagine a 3hr video essay on how expensive the design was, or perhaps a Technology Connections breakdown of the functionality/workings/issues etc.
