  • But not every soldiers’ first priority are justifying their actions. Please note that the title of this post is insinuating that all veterans are to blame, not some or even the majority of them. Also note the title omits the bosses, the people who gave the orders. That is why I replied. We would only disagree if you’d believe the boss isn’t guilty because he didn’t do the execution of his plans.

  • I’m saying we shouldn’t blame the soldiers on the choices of their leaders, I’m not saying we shouldn’t blame the soldiers for their own choice. I totally agree they could’ve chosen to not to follow orders. I’m not saying they are innocent. But their role is not comparable to the role of the people giving orders.

  • O i totally agree, this is exactly why i started with ‘this is might get a lot of downvotes’. But the crimes on the pictures where not crimes by individual soldiers. These things were done by individuals who were told to. I’m not saying that makes them innocent, I’m saying they weren’t the most guilty. The most guilty in my opinion are the men who scheme and think up of plans like this, and then order others to execute it.

  • This might get a lot of down votes but I want to say I don’t think it’s fair to blame the soldiers in the field for the choices of the decision makers in the office. Those horrible events were unwanted ‘byproducts’ of the goal of men with evil plans, they were not veterans going off-book. In other words, these veterans did what was asked of them. I’m not saying they didn’t do some very bad things, but they aren’t the people that should be ‘thanked’.

  • I have seen too many videos of small monkeys and big apes throwing their dong to agree with your paper ball theory. Also frogs don’t throw balls but are great at catching insects, a lot of other animals have great spatial awareness when it comes to hunting prey. But tbh, I doubt wether they could grasp the concept of a box going up and down like humans do.

Have seen too many videos of dogs trying to take long sticks through narrow doors to disagree with you there though. Personally I think dogs are just not that smart after all that (in)breeding we did. I’m not calling dogs stupid, don’t want the world to dislike me.

The biggest party in the Netherlands is called the freedom party, their mainly anti-immigrant and against the freedom of religion and the freedom of education. Totally agree they’re great at marketing (though it’s more about being loud and talking about social problems than it is about having ideas of how to solve them). They’re considered to be far-right populist, their leader (Geert Wilders) is aligned with Marine Le Pen and Georgia Meloni. The left has lost their working class-base traditional base to them because of them being more relatable (and less high-brow) than the labour party, the socialists and the greens.

I would argue your sexuality isn’t necessarily something you already were when you were born and you have to figure out, i would say words like gay and straight are words to describe other what you desire and what you don’t desire. If you’re curious and haven’t decided which words fit, just take more time and try more things. On the other hand, if you now figured something out you can now have words to describe what you do and do not want in life.

you confuse capitalism in general with the concept of a capitalistic nation-state, history has proven over and over that people with almost infinite money will use that money to the buy violent means to not only protect their capital but also to enforce their rule. The purest form of capitalism was never invented or made-up by mankind, it acts as a force of nature like water finding the path of least resistance. The thing is, that in history there have always been multiple owners of wealth (in our times organised in nation-states) competing against each other for power and resources. Because of that it might not seem like this capital is self-organising, but there is definitely a ‘law’ that makes it so that the person with all the money wins. We should be happy that not all those with wealth (and power) persue wealth (and power) at all costs. In other words, thank god most people care about other things beside money (and power).
