I remember them so vividly in this context that my memory of the song is interrupted by whichever song came next in the commercial.

oh, for sure. having a streaming service that not every subscriber can watch is like having a restaurant where not every diner can eat.

i understand the 24 hour marathon frying their servers, but since then? joe bob & darcy have got to be solely responsible for >50% of all their subscriptions. it’s crazy to me that drama-free streaming on fridays during TLDI season isn’t shudder’s top priority.

I felt the same. I was expecting to appreciate the movies and get the usual deep dive, but I wasn’t expecting to be as all-in as I was. Mad God had me fully engrossed! Perfect Blue was also top shelf stuff.

And it just wouldn’t be Drive-In night without Shudder fucking up. It’s been part of the experience since day one. Why mess with perfection, you know?

Someone in !horror@lemmy.ml suggested Mad God, too. Idk much about it, but it definitely looks like a film that makes you feel weird, and JBB has said before that making you feel weird is the primary/only criteria for a horror movie.

I can’t speak for 5.11 quality today, but I got my Rush 12 in 2010 and it’s still going strong. There were a few years there where I abused the hell out of it, too.

I’m a shoulder bag office lackey now, but the 5.11 remains my weekend bag. Other than the regrettable tacticool style, I have no complaints. The Covrt would probably be decent.
