One of the problems is that Lemmy.ml is literally run by some of the people who developed Lemmy and it’s one of the few instances on https://join-lemmy.org/instances and the one with the highest number of users listed there with the exception of lemmynsfw.
IMO using facebook is never going to be safe or ethical, period. You are the product and they have a long history of being extremely eager to sell the product.

I remember their “official” app claimed it was a third party app on the stores, which probably put off a lot of potential users. Any phone users will be getting an app by some randos no matter what they pick, which is a big trust issue for many of us.

Add like 5-6 reccomended videos with similar tags for a platform other than YT to the top of YT Reccomendations.
For people who want to spend less time on YT but dont want to spend more time searching.
I think the employees would have a database of titles to ascertain value, so they are basically trained in this field.

Being in NATO had no impact on the events, NATO member support was not mandatory as per the terms of NATO. The only reason they even call it a NATO operarion was because Itally would only vote in favor of the operation if NATO members were in charge instead of France.
