Is everyone just going to take turns at this job until they find someone who gets it right or what.

Because I would quite like to be considered for the position. I’m utterly unqualified and I don’t really know what the job consists of but I also don’t know any journalists so there’s that.

I’ve run into people who insist we did it, and I believe them, but I don’t remember.

That’s gotta be a bit of an ego hit for them.

The UK trade deal is great because over here it was basically just reported as “the status quo has been maintained”, and then they just moved on to other news items. No one really cares about it.

Trump was going on and on about how America “has the best beef”, and how it’s unfair that we won’t take it, and this trade deal essentially means that farms will have to follow UK food standards in order to send beef (or whatever) to the UK. Since none of them will, essentially nothing has changed.

That’s just the Trump brand.

Not everyone in the world is an American of course.

If it goes to an employment tribunal then you simply say “I was not been uncooperative I simply was upholding the rules they require me to uphold, do not touch the grapes without protection.” Now they’re stuck.

Then the judge slaps them with an unfair dismissal and you get several years wage compensation and the company looks awful in front of the judge. Possibly a safety violation fine as well.

It’s simply that there are tools that work better, and it hasn’t had an update in about 12 years.

I assume the 4chan users have had to find a new base of operations, preferably with developers who actually know how to one do highly complex tasks such as install updates.

I feel like that design was used everywhere back in the '90s not just on disposable cups.

Seriously? If you are an employee of a company all you want to do is your job and then go home preferably after receiving a pay rise that didn’t require additional work on your behalf. The company’s interests however are to get as much work out of me as possible for as little compensation as possible.

The interests of myself and the interests of the company are diametrically opposed, there cannot be alignment because we are in an inherently adversarial relationship.

It’s like claiming that your interests and your landlords interests align, and then completely ignoring the fact that you can never get him to come around and fix the broken light fixture. The thing I want him to do is the one the thing that he definitely doesn’t want to do.
