Most sites which employ algorithms are intended to try and keep you engaged for as long as possible, unfortunately outrage gets engagement.

Thats what I love about sites like Lemmy or using NewPipe for YouTube. I only get what’s there at the time, no algorithm which constantly tries to feed me content so I don’t have to make the decision to watch something myself.
