duh
Please elaborate what’s the difference between canoeboot and libreboot, I’m kinda lost
Libreboot have this too https://libreboot.org/docs/install/playstation.html
Usb 2 is used for wireless mouse/keyboard
Main problem is, ram isn’t upgradable on recent Apple tech, and you’ll need ram for containers, if you’re gonna host it to the CPU limit, if not, then even more so, brand new intel n100 mini pc for 100-150$ is gonna do wonders for you in self hosting field, what I’m saying is, if your MAIN goal is self hosting, then Mac is not optimal, i mean, you can buy Mac mini for your daily tasks and intel n100 mini pc for pocket change you’ll have left after buying Mac, and host your projects on intel one while using Mac yourself
Sysadmin job be like
Actual budget just dropped, holy hell
Lemmys will see this and say hell yeah
True that, llms could be the future of lossy compression
Waiting till mixtral gonna optimise it enough to run on home computer, and then till dolphin uncensor it
Number is priority level, 100 is equal priority as real ram, over 100 is higher priority than real ram, less than 100 is less priority than real ram, and as far as I’m aware, max number is 200 and minimal number is 0
Thank you for your reply) most of the negative opinions people have about proprietary drivers is exactly this, they become obsolete, open source drivers on the other hand, does not, you and me agree on this, love your positive outlook on everything, feels refreshing, thank you)
I have Nvidia gt210 in office, and latest Linux mint installed, no proprietary drivers for my GPU is installable, they exist, yes, but you can’t install them on latest Linux mint
It’s more like reducing global ewaste and keeping ecology better, when apple drop support, people better use still capable hardware than buy a new one from apple
I always used vlc for this purpose, download iptv playlist from GitHub and use it in VLC on any device
Here i go answering myself

Libreboot no longer complies with GNU policy. In November 2022, Libreboot adopted a more pragmatic policy of allowing any board from coreboot to be supported, while reducing the number of binary blobs as much as possible. Although this may satisfy most people, there exists a minority of people who wish to still have a blob-free coreboot distro, like Libreboot once was.
Prior to November 2022, Libreboot complied fully with GNU policy in providing an entirely blob-free coreboot distribution. The rest of this article will go into a lot more detail, both on this and on the technical aspects, but the gist of it is this:
Canoeboot is, in spirit and in practise, a continuation of the old Libreboot project, prior to that policy change. It maintains sync with Libreboot as closely as possible, while removing any and all non-free code, and disabling/removing any code that could possibly handle it (for example modifying coreboot so as to never add microcode updates or download blobs, even if told to by coreboot configs, since the upstream coreboot project is otherwise engineered to handle these if requested by the user).
