I remember I somehow owned a Gameshark at one point and figured out how to add in Turbo and Big Head mode. I also dimly remember the title music for the game, which was awesome.

Sooooo depends on what you’re using them for. Very few shoes will hold up to retail work, for instance. So 3-6 months for one reviewer without context could be 2 years for you.

Sounds like someone got promoted to a high position. If I’m right it’s the typical “New Manager Must Make Waves To Prove They Belong” level of stupid unique to corporate.

I’ve had it for AGES. I agree that ads have been a bit much and many websites almost unusable without Origin. YT Premium though has been fairly solid with a couple hiccups.

Admittedly, I use YouTube as my primary source of entertainment. So the price is easily justified vs other services.

It was hard because the controls were abysmal, with some otherwise difficult sections to go alongside the controls. That said, the game itself had a lot of charm. I remember it with fondness.

tldr: Flaw can give a hacker access to your computer only if they have already bypassed most of the computer’s security.

This means continue not going to sketchy sites.

Continue not downloading that obviously malicious attachment.

Continue not being a dumbass.

Proceed as normal.

Because if a hacker got that deep your system is already fucked.

@PixelOrange@lemmy.world got it mostly right from my research, though their backgrounds will still have that bar. If you use a black, or near black, background, especially one not at your native resolution, that gradient will be most noticeable. Using other backgrounds that do not have a black strip along the top you might still be able to see it if you squint.

For those of you curious: Change your background to a solid black from the background menu in settings, or grab something similar elsewhere. Then crank your brightness up. Chances are it’ll be there for you too if you’re not running a third party launcher.

I haven’t found a way to turn it off in native yet.

Alright… you’d be surprised how often a power button isn’t pressed, or tower/monitor is not plugged in. Sometimes the fix is the simplest possible solution.

Having worked in tech, though not as familiar with phones, I want to ask a question no one else has, which may be silly of me:

You’re probably right. The problem I’m running into is religion’s history of causing literally every issue you can think of, up to and including war and everything that comes with it. So while that church may not be faulty, our failure to not use religion as a wall to hide atrocities behind sorta makes it automatically on the wrong side of the fence. Unless it proves otherwise, of course. Which, I think, it has failed to do so quite remarkably.

I appreciate that it’s made for my thumbs as opposed to other, less keyboard optimal digits.

Legal teams. Not there to be cool, there to shut things down. Chances are that team bypassed the folks that make the cool decisions. So there is a chance this could be changed when the right person catches wind.

This wouldn’t be the first time. I have dim memories of this sort of thing happening before. Just not quite sure on the details.
