After pixel 5 or 6 I’m done I think. Before the free photo storage was an advantage but after enshitification I’m done with it. I’ll probably go back to Motorola or Nokia.

Android Auto used to be good. You can voice command navigate, send text, read notification, make a call and before it will read a basic Google search. Now even the navigation is <80% correct. The BMW voice assistant was so clunky compared to android auto but now they are racing to the bottom. At least BMW voice was consistent.

I’ve been on my 3rd install of linux mint and immich. I can’t seem to make it work. I can’t mount my second hard drive so immich can see it. I’m gathering up a strength for the 4th install.

I’ve been experimenting with Raspbian and RPi compatible distros. Now I needed a PC for some self hosting stuff. I tried Debian and arch with not much success. Tonight I installed Mint then PhotoPrism without a terminal error that I need to google for solution! Even the video card is detected. Everything worked and now it’s chugging away doing all the work instead of me troubleshooting.

I haven’t renewed my student unlimited data plan since 2011. It lasted through a company merger and a pandemic. I’m never renewing my plan. My first born will inherit this plan when I die.

Where does she watch he YouTube videos? If it’s a computer and you’re a little techie, switch to Firefox then change the user agent to Nintendo Switch. I find that YouTube serve less crazy videos for Nintendo Switch.
