Hey.
I’m Dan. A 36 year old father of two who doesn’t have nearly as much time as he needs to do half the things he wishes he had the time to do.
Yes I’d prefer to stay away from the news side of the industry because I can find that stuff to be exhausting at times.
Ideally LTAG will flourish into a place to talk about what you’re playing, dissect the latest video from your favourite content creator or post some really cool art from an old magazine you’ve just found in the loft.
I’m on my second re-read and whilst I agree it’s a bit frustrating, there’s still so much good stuff to enjoy along the way that I’d recommend sticking with it if you’re enjoying it. You got this!
Bold of you to assume its users want it to replace Twitter.
I’m a bit surprised by the lack of engagement with you after appeal, that alone would signify that the person behind the account is a genuine human and not a bot.
Can’t speak to .online but I know .Social is infamous for being a poorly modded instance (largely because they’re inundated with members). This obviously doesn’t make it okay and certainly doesn’t look good on their end.
One thing I would say, and I know this isn’t an issue users should be dealing with, but I’d highly recommend signing up to a smaller instance. Tighter community with (in theory) a more personal modding system in place.
I think for now it’s probably easier and cleaner if we keep it to one image per post. If the community ultimately decides that’s not a good move going forward then I’m happy to reevaluate a little down the line.
Hey, I’m all for spreading the love. The more communities we have across multiple instances the better imo.
Quick look on Wikipedia and it looks as though the UK, Ireland and Australian versions of SoS got split in two because of length.
Had a hard time with this one and I’m not sure I ever figured out why. Initially I thought it was just a bit uninteresting but now I’m wondering if there’s more there. Not sure he writes his female protagonists all that well (which I can understand given you know, he’s not female).
Massive fan of The Martian and Weirs follow up called ‘Project Hail Mary’. It leans a little more in the direction of Science Fiction than the Martian did, but it’s an absolute page turner from front to back.
Agreed it’s deeply cynical on their part…but the sad thing is that people will happily hand over their money for it.
What if Chuck E Cheese was in your bedroom and it was marketed to make you feel like you were missing out if you didn’t have the thing your friend’s had, but you can’t buy the thing, oh no that’s too easy. We’ll let you buy the chance to own the thing.
This the same Starmer that’s just come out and backtracked on his green policy platform??
I think the English language versions of 3/5 ASoIaF books are already split into two anyway. Can’t remember if aGoT or CoK are however.
Where? I can’t see it in the Ultra section??
Update
Found it.

Looks like the Dev is looking to add a lifetime option and an option to remove ads in the future.
My favourite Reddit client coming to Lemmy. Where do I give you my money?
Tatoes? What’s Tatoes, precious?
I’ve only seen one or two WSL games on TV but I’m always happy to see more sport content on Lemmy so good luck.
