Just a guy. Just a fella. Subject to say silly stuff.

This comment was undoubtedly written by an AI, however.
I had to check because you kept saying he didn’t use AI. I guess he didn’t, but this isn’t the community for this kind of video.
Vance is a lapdog that does what he is instructed like a good little boy.
This is where I’m at: a Synology running a few services like Plex for my family and friends. I’m hoping to learn more and help us all move from walled gardens even further. Some of Synology’s software can feel a little clunky to use but generally I’ve found it to work great despite my limited knowledge.
Shit, you’re right!
I second this opinion. The parties responsible absolutely need to be held accountable but due to the severe nature of the crime you absolutely have to protect yourself.
My devices are cringely named after songs in Haken’s discography.
Desktop is MESSIAH. Laptop is AFFINITY. Phone is NIGHTINGALE. Steam Deck is SHAPESHIFTER. Router (and its WAP) is PORTALS. My NAS is the only one that falls outside of this, it’s generically (last name)NetNAS. I should rename it, but I don’t want to break anything 😅
Eta: changed my NAS’ hostname is ARCHITECT. Nothing broke! Yay for me.
My ex girlfriend’s name and the Skype logo are burned into my old galaxy s3, from where we used to video call all night long.
And with Obsidian I still own my files, which are just in markdown and can be read by literally any other program.
He orchestrated it!
Any misskey instance you’d recommend?
It may as well be. I love Uncle Ben 😅
Little cutie! Is that an Otocinclus?
As an American, American “cheese” (including single slices, and things like spray cheese) fucking suck. Give me a good pepperjack or white cheddar on my burger, not that processed shit.
What’s wrong with Pass? Genuine question.
The web browser thing seems like such a waste, especially when privacy-focused browsers already exist and can even integrate their suite of apps pretty easily.
I had a similar experience on my laptop. I tried Ubuntu which broke after trying to throw on Nvidia drivers (using the official docs). I tried Mint and Debian, both of which couldn’t detect my laptop’s wifi card (after hours of trying to fix - apparently a common issue but the fixes did not work for me!). I landed on Fedora, worked great. I’m now on EndeavourOS, but Fedora was the stepping stone I needed.
My desktop I built recently is Bazzite, which is Fedora based and I love it.
Bazzite Linux running KDE Plasma 6. It’s a wonderful distro based on Fedora 40 (I think, still kinda new) and it’s made for gaming.
The Mastodon instance I’m on (wetdry.world) has HUNDREDS of users. Don’t use an instance like mastodon.social and you’ll have a better time.
They’re rocks, Hank.
