“Extra steps for thee, not for me!”
“Extra steps for thee, not for me!”
I will end up living in the woods at this rate.
A bunch of them: Kate, Konsole, Dolphin, KCalc, Kdenlive, Okular, Gwenview, Ark, Spectacle, KDEconnect, Elisa and probably a couple more I missed.
Prime works well anywhere tho. I guess you are asking for a GUI to switch between them and/or disable it on a per software basis? For me games via Steam “just work”, they use the Nvidia GPU by default and Lutris has a little switch to enable it. It’s only getting more complicated if you want your Nvidia GPU to fully turn off when not in use.
For my part, I will simply wait until Plasma 6 arrives in the official package sources.
Same. And then I wait a day or two to see if there are any major issues. I do the same for Nvidia updates. I mean I could also just roll back if anything happens, but why bother?
I will never not hate scrum. Screw all this corporatization of programming.
I think this opinion is so based that I will adopt it. Effective immediately.
Yes. It’s illegal actually. A Microsoft team has been dispatched and is en route to your place right now to install Win 11 S on all of your devices.
AntennaPod (OpenSource) and I subscribe to RSS feeds. How else would you do it? Spotify? That crap can’t even reliably store where I paused last time.
No. Mint is fine for my dad who uses a browser and an email program and nothing else. I’m not gonna recommend it to people who do a lot more with their machines. I can tell them I use Linux and they can ask me anything if they are ever curious about making the switch, but that is it. If they don’t make the conscious decision to use Linux, then they won’t stick with it anyways.
Bro the more popular user space driver isn’t even maintained by AMD at all. I would not be suprised if you tell me you are using amdvlk.
Canonical is a joke
Pfff my systemd is version 255.2-2, I am lightyears ahead.
Just use ‘them’ like a normal person
Good luck. I’m just paying $1 a month for my mail account. I like my solution to degoogle my mail more. Well to be fair, a lot of my mail still goes through google and then my new account since I haven’t updated my mail everywhere.
Got my dad on Mint for a few years now. That me reminds me I have to check which version he is on. He might still be on 20 something.
Not much. Plasma 6 and any wayland improvements I guess. Apart from that maybe FSR 3 frame generation, but that’s not linux specific.
I am very curious about the type of person who would rather use a phone than a computer. I am already getting annoyed just typing these two sentences on my phone, because I know hoe much more convenient this would be on my computer.
I have had weird issues with Tumbleweed too. Never any issues with Arch based distros. I suggest trying EndeavourOS or Garuda Linux. Love both
I hate all webdev beyond using raw HTML, CSS and Javascript to make your own crappy website
