Leaning on SuSE Tumbleweed for a set it and forget it without the Arch weirdness. Kubuntu for “I really just need an OS and don’t wanna play with it”. Or Linux Mint. Idk I lean more .deb based distros. I love apt.
Depends on desktop Environment honestly.
I’ve seen arch install and I wouldn’t wish that on anybody. All the “arch,btw” people are just bragging that they went with the hard mode install setup (probably cheated and used Endeavor lol).
1·1 year agoMS knows that everyone is gonna have their own Sub service just like how Netflix spawned all the Hulus and Disney+s., and it’s already started with EA and Ubisoft. To stay relevant they need to own the content, not just rent.
To keep GP relevant they need to cater to all types of gamers. You need RPGs, shooters, indies, classics, strategys, casuals, sims etc. “Something for everyone”.
I’ma be honest, I’ll consider this a win if Phil does actually get Raven on Hexen 3 like he kinda hinted at. Let’s get Warcraft 4 or Prototype 3, some new Tony Hawk. There are a lot of dead IPs that can use a comeback that isn’t just a remaster. Maybe they can go back and fix Warcraft 3 and make an Xbox port so that I can lay back on my couch and play that like I have done with AoE2.
If they decide to keep things business as usual it’s gonna suck.
He should totally do it and charge per post as well.
A couple of accounts I made have been made redundant. Chances are if you went with LemmyWorld as your starting point and got sick of all the downtime you probably did too, leaving behind a handful of obsolete accounts.

The scale at my job that prints labels for price per pound stuff when it boots shows Linux boot stuff.
Once installed Linux on my iPod 5G. Honestly wasn’t worth it cuz it cut battery time in half and only added a couple extra codecs it could play. Doom was strange on the scroll wheel.

3·1 year agoThat’s the model that the mouse wheel kept slipping.
Anything really I’m using some brand that has a ship as a logo that I got for like $5 clearance from Walmart that’s been pretty good. Not super fancy but has all 5 buttons and a button for quick change of sensitivity (which I’ve never got used to, I grew up on Ball nice, I have to remind myself that I got side buttons).
Fuck Razor mice. They can’t do a mouse wheel right without it slipping backwards when scrolling. Garbage.
Their earbuds are good tho. So far.
3·1 year agoI have my Gmail since beta invites so over 20 years. I’m dying with that account it’s basically my Internet SSN at this point. It’s also my real name so it’s professional n shit. The idea of moving it would be a disaster.
Surprised noone has hacked Vizio’s yet. Shame.
