Best part is the noise it makes when the fans finally shut down, it is finally at peace.

I think the next couple jumps were very good too.
Ps1 was just polygons, you could see all the edges and the games were not complex.
Then ps2 happened, now you get games like gta 3 and gran turismo. San Andreas was one of the longest and most in depth games in terms of all the mini games inside.
After that, came imo the peak of game graphics. Sure, some today might be technically better, but at the time, Crysis on very good hardware looked almost indistinguishable from reality. I remember seeing some highly detailed renders of people’s faces and thinking how it was just like real life.
After Crysis, there wasn’t really any other “big jump” unless you count the hard drive space requirements.
Having said that, bf3 and red dead 2 felt like milestones.
Wow, I did NOT expect that story after seeing the picture. Doesn’t seem related.
Fair points but as someone who works in cybersecurity. Phishing emails can happen without admin access. I haven’t heard of any randsomware that is triggered by just clicking on a link.
I think there should be some restrictions but highly technical people should slowly be given more and more control as they gain more trust/experience.
I thought my comment was pretty clear that some rules are justified and that the IT person can just be the bearer of bad news.
Maybe not, hopefully this comment clarifies.
In my experience it’s been IT people telling me you can’t use a certain tool or have more control over your computer cause of their rules.
The expression is appropriate but the meme assumes that im doubting the IT person’s expertise. I’m not, I’m just not liking the rules that get in the way of my work. Some rules do make sense though.
Edit: just wanted to point out, yes I agree, you need the rules, they are still annoying tho.
Cause it’s a C++ replacement when said audience never asked for one. It’s great but it’s still waaaayy too early, people need to slowly get comfortable with it.
But people like and appreciate German.
I disagree, I think socialism can and will beat capitalism eventually.
It outsources the blame and hides the connection from those who lack critical thinking.
All liberal capitalists want a full on chain of commands and dictator level control over their domain employees. The only difference is that they want “market forces” to force people to work for them instead of violence.
That’s not true, there is a third state:
“I don’t care anymore, I’ll drive Uber if it comes to that”.
No, he just gave up.
Me on the other hand had an LG android for 3 years. I thought it was a good phone but it wasn’t fully there yet. I bought a galaxy S5 thinking it would be a better experience. Couldn’t believe how slow a brand new phone could be. I haven’t tried another android yet.
Yeah it was on the cheaper side, my brother would argue that if they put their name on it, it shouldn’t be shit (I kind of agree).
I had an iPhone a few years ago and hated it most of the time
Yeah that’s fine, and there is nothing wrong with that, people should be able to use what they prefer for whatever reason. Others don’t think so as evident by the downvotes of me saying what my experience was like and what I prefer.
Nothing, he had an iPhone before, tried the Sony phone, could not believe how laggy and buggy using it was, went back to an iPhone in less than a week.
Some people just don’t enjoy the experience of Android, I tried, really, really tried but also couldn’t (had one for 3 years).
And I’m sure people would disagree.
My brother got a Sony phone, he had to stop using it within the week given how cheap and laggy it was.
Why do people hate on Java so much, I think it’s a great language.
Do you use Java at work?
Fuck no, I want to stay sane.
Software being free and devs getting paid are separate things. Software could be something that just costs money to make but free to use, like country infrastructure.
If I made a script and you copied it, I didn’t lose anything, the GDP of the entire world just went up cause now you have my tool as well.
I’m a dev btw
I’m the best ever until when I’m not, then I’m just meh
Is the implication here that anyone can do that hence the racism or maybe that superman has much more control over his facial muscles and bones.
Cause honestly the latter would be interesting, maybe superman is a shapeshifter cause what are the chances that another planet has lifeforms that just happen to be identical to humans?
