I’ve had the non internet connected one for a few years, and overall I like it a lot. There’ve been a couple of maintenance issues, but all in all I was able to fix them myself with youtube tutorials.
Mine tends to go about a week and a half to 2 weeks between emptying it out, and it does smell a bit by 2 weeks. I’ve thought about rigging it up to have a larger bin, but then I’d have to carry a larger bag of refuse out.
Oh lol, I hadn’t even considered that because the switch feels like such a natural successor to the wii u

Though checking back in on it, I had forgotten that the wii u could boot into wii mode and you could get wii virtual console on it.
Given that it is nintendo’s next most recent console, I don’t think it does. An arguement could be made for the wii though, and I think that had an even more extensive virtual console
You could use a divider caliper to be able to translate the size of a fastener to a spot that is easier to measure, if you don’t have to swap between inches and metric it would probably be easy to be accurate enough with it without much practice.
Asking questions is valuable to an online community though. People need to ask questions so that others can answer, and plenty of them (often myself included) won’t post questions they have and will just search around hoping someone else already did.
