a lot of instances are really just Redditors who refuse to use reddit. this is especially apparent with the USA defaultism. the best thing you can do is curate the feed with blocked communities and only stay in subscribed, but as we can see here it even bleeds into totally unrelated shit sometimes, so.

I don’t think porn is a good thing, but the fact that even if you’re an adult with a pass you are limited is pretty bizarre. this is on top of the fact that you are already giving up your privacy to view it.

The only real option in this case would be to use an unregulated wallet through person-to-person exchanges which would inherently carry more risks than a normal regulated market. Not my area of expertise however so I’m not sure where you’d start, sorry.

My TV is a dumb TV (for lack of a better name). It does have a USB port, but it only displays photos and can’t play external footage. I keep all of my downloaded media on an external HDD. I did look into the whole XBMC aka Kodi / jellyfin combo stuff for a bit.

I’ve supported mullvad and I also try to support my Lemmy instance where I can.

funny as im seeing this while nuking my old reddit account. havent used it since they took apollo from me and honestly i won’t miss it. they are just digging their own grave at this point.
