I’ve been using airbnb since around 2017 about 3-4 times a year - most recently back in May. I’ve heard about this ridiculous stuff you’re talking about over on Reddit, but I’ve never experienced it.
I’d be pissed about the situation if it happened to me too but now I’m wondering how this is so common on the internet but not IRL (for me).
I personally like Homewood Suites for the same reason you like Residents Inn. They also have separate living rooms. Have you tried them? I wonder how they compare to Residents Inn. I’ve never stayed there.
Hampton Inn suites are also pretty good IMO.
