Memes are Hexbear?
Actually, this town has more than enough room for the two of us

Memes are Hexbear?
Just the standard affair for users of that comm, sadly.
Leftism is cancer now?
You’re doubling down again, lmao. You aren’t the god of econ 101, and are deliberately trying to make a false point, that being a wealth tax doesn’t help just because it can be done poorly. Moreover, I’m a Communist, a wealth tax is insufficient for what I want, it’s just a tool in a toolbox.
In your own words, “learn some history.”
Yep, and that it’s highly upvoted tells you a lot about that community in general.
To be fair, sh.itjust.works’ admin thinks Russia and China are pushing “gender ideology” to radicalize western youths against the US, and it’s home to NCD and MWoG, 2 of the most right-wing communities on Lemmy.
I really disagree that any role sh.itjust.works plays is positive, though. It hosts MWoG and NCD, some of the most right-wing communities on the Fediverse, and moreover the admin thinks China and Russia are pushing “gender politics” to radicalize western youths against the US. The fact that there’s no interview is by design, it serves as a foothold for right-wingers and fascists who would be banned elsewhere.
The closest is the PRC, though all Marxists understand that the US is the current hegemon.
Liberalism is the ideological component of Capitalism. Conservativism is a type of Liberalism.
Whatever you do, don’t look up the numbers of Soviet officials lynched before the tanks were sent in, or who the counter-revolutionaries set free from prison to help with the lynching and rioting (spoiler: literal Nazis).
.world has now moved onto banning people for calling out transphobia. It was bad when they banned users for calling out the Democrats’ involvement with the genocide of Palestinians, but now they ban users for being “aggressive” with transphobes.
The problem isn’t centralization, but the concept of a “generalist” instance. Instances should be more focused in concept and scope, and usable locally without feeling the need to scroll all.
The original, unedited meme had “Canadians” as a type of Leftist, don’t put any stock into the list. The punchline works all the same.
That’s generally how propaganda works, though.
The fact that Xiaohongshu is Chinese is the point, it’s a protest against banning Chinese Social Media without holding US-based Social Media to the same standard.
I think you’re making the same error you’re trying to call out. Sorting through the flurry of insults, your core complaint is that Marxist-Leninists don’t see nuance. I think this is disingenuous, Marxism-Leninism has strong theoretical foundations that are logically consistent. Similarly, you flip from the strawman that “everyone that isn’t an ML is a fascist” to your own assertion that everyone is fascist, or at least it appears that’s your claim. I don’t really think you have a clear conception of what constitutes fascism, or if you do it isn’t readily apparent, same with Imperialism.
I think if you want to understand MLs more you could probably be served better by trying to work from an initial place of trying to understand why MLs think the way they do, rather than trying to come up with post-hoc justifications.
Too late, you’re a tankie now 👻
The thing with memes is that they can have a genuine impact on how people view something. People’s views are largely impacted by their exposure, as a general trend, and most people haven’t actually done the reading to see what the credit system in China even looks like. That leaves a large number of people believing in dystopian fantasies of widespread facial tracking and morality judging from cameras on every corner, despite the implausability of such a system.
You can check my mod log, there’s an example.
