Here’s a really cool article in The Guardian today on Shirley Manson from the band Garbage (my favourite band, and Shirl is an absolute goddess!)
She talks about being a music icon, misogyny and hip replacements… and they have a new album out!!
I’ve always loved her no bullshit down to earth approach to life 🤘
Also, it’s really weird, but nice having an icon from my youth talking about things like hip replacements, I still think of her (and myself) as being in our 20’s and indestructible, when we’re now both older, peri and post menopausal, and still rocking out
I’m hoping they tour, I missed the last one

I’ve not been to Canal Street for ages, I remember the first few Pride events consisted of some male go go dancers in hot pants, dancing on the back of a low loader as it drove down the street, I couldn’t afford the ticket for it today
