James Bond is a reactionary relic of an imperial past but also woven into the fabric of British society with a big impact on global culture.

With the takeover by Amazon, we may see the franchise get driven off a cliff or just merciless exploited until Jeff Bezos has milked the cash cow dry and soured everyone against it or it could take the suave spy to new heights of cultural dominance.

Whatever happens (perhaps all of that in turn) it should be Interesting to watch, especially with new developments coming thick and fast. So strap yourself in and grab some 🍿.

    Wishful thinking…if they would destroy Lord of the Rings, they can sure destroy James Bond. I hope I’m wrong but there seems to be an ongoing campaign to destroy our culture and remake it into something dystopian…they’re using our beloved movie, game and TV franchises as part of it.

    Bezos? New heights of cultural dominance?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

    It’s a dead franchise now and I’m not looking forward to any further films. It will go the way of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars.
