If you watch this, it MUST be the directors cut. The theatrical release was a bad cut and why the movie didn’t go over well. The DC adds a little more context and explanation so it’s not so vague.

Ooo I didn’t watch the director’s cut. I enjoyed the theatrical release regardless. Definitely going to check it out. Thanks!

I saw it in theaters when it first came out, but I missed the first few minutes, and thus, missed the opening monologue that basically spoils the movie, was actually surprised by the reveals.

My friend and I were SOOO confused throughout most of the film when we saw it in the theater.

Watch the DC and give it another try. I’d honestly say in most cases the DC is a money grab, but this and Superman II Richard Donner Cut are two of the best examples of a DC making a difference

Inception and to a lesser extent The Matrix owe a debt or at least pay homage to this movie. Also The Crow was made by the same guy and has a lot of the same cinematography elements if for some reason you haven’t seen it yet and enjoyed the look of this one.

One of Roger Eberts favorite movies. He did a commentary track on the DVD that was just as great as the film itself.
