When your friend says something to you on the phone that is SO FUNNY you pull it away from your ear and tap the crying laughing emoji to let them know that it made you laugh

Pull it away from your ear, tap the chip to open the Audio Emoji menu, then select the laughing emoji. Seamless!

So it’s an emoji-themed soundboard for phone calls. Why would anyone want this?

Sounds cringeworthy, but it might be kinda fun in some contexts to have a soundboard.

“Sorry boss my cheek hit the poop emoji”.

Ah, so it’s like Discord’s sound board feature.

…except that on a Discord call, this type of silliness is expected. If I heard that “Sad Trombone” soundbite on a regular call I’d be stunned

Can I spam trombone sounds at a telemarketer, straight from the call?

Congratulations, I think you’ve just found the one and only justification for this waste of engineer hours feature.

It really is these types of features that make me question how the world works. Why are programmers in such high demand as to command massive salaries, but then also have time to produce things like this?

Hell, I’d like the option to let it continue ringing (silently) but to NOT send them to voicemail. For when there’s a caller that I’m pretty certain I don’t want to hear anything from and don’t want to have to open my voicemail to delete the last half of their bullshit recording. If I’m going to do that much, I’d rather answer the call and waste their time, too, instead of just mine.

This reminded me of those msn messenger nudges from back in the day… I’m definitely not the target audience this time around… 😂
