U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert immediately discarded a pin honoring one of the victims of the Uvalde mass shooting after activists handed the memento to her in the halls of the Capitol on Tuesday.

Hopefully that doesn’t last for long. A LOT of attitudes changed overnight in Uvalde after the shooting happened. I’ve never seen a community turn on their police force with such unity before. I really hope they carry that momentum to the ballot boxes.

They won’t because voting isn’t done with your head. They’ll just vote for another “tough on crime” Republican and kick out the old police chief.

Oh shit it almost looks like she threw it away BECAUSE they said “we hope you take action on gun violence protection”

I don’t necessarily think that’s what happened because she was sort of headed towards the trash cans anyway. Regardless it is disgusting and really speaks volumes that she doesn’t care, for Republican politicians there is no press bad enough. She is just that heartless.

If my child had been gunned down, I can’t imagine what the rage of seeing some of these monsters glibly discard attempts at asking for even just an effort at preventing similar future tragedy would make me want to do.
