The funny thing about MST3K the movie is that the move they riffed, This Island Earth…while still hilariously cheesy and dated, was actually a hit and successful movie in its day. I own a copy of it and it’s still pretty enjoyable. I hate remakes but that movie would be interesting to do an update for, but only if they include a couple low-key Easter eggs acknowledging MST3k. Like Exeter having an actual picture of a burger on his office wall.
“Montage music and sciency shit” made me think of the “Industry, science and technology” riff from MST3k the Movie

Many of the best MST3k episodes (Manos notwithstanding) are decent enough B movies, they’re just very mockable.
