On Saturday, Gaza ceasefire talks were down to the wire, and President-elect Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy wanted to hash out the deal once and for all with Benjamin Netanyahu, but the Israeli leader’s office said he could not be roused during Shabbat.
Steve Witkoff allegedly gave a “salty” reply, making it clear he didn’t care if it was the Sabbath, the Jewish day of rest.
In the words of one report from Haaretz, Witkoff said Trump expected Israel to agree to the ceasefire, and “things that Netanyahu had termed life-and-death issues…suddenly vanished”.
Better than violating Leahy Law tbh.
Trump sent a real estate agent he met during golfing to Israel to force Netanyahu to accept the ceasefire deal.
That is no joke.

But China is not part of 14 eyes. So for citizens it is better that China has it than their own government.
The chance that Trump will allow this to slip after announcing it on Truth social (the name means everything posted on there is factually true) means that the ceasefire is guaranteed.
In all seriousness, it is very likely Trump will allow Israel to violate the ceasefire later on. But his ego will never allow him to be dogwalked by Netanynahu the way Biden and Harris were. That ceasefire is coming this sunday unless Israel pulls out a crazy trump card (get it).
If Trump did not plan to get the Gaza ceasefire he would have simply said nothing, or walked back his words like he did with his Ukraine support.
That explains why the genocide is still ongoing and will end when Trump becomes president.
Credit where credit is due. Biden was the one who beat medicare.
Joe Biden kept sending bombs to Israel.
Bidens deal was on the table since June. Presenting an agreement has little value if he lets Netanyahu refuse it. Trump made Netanyahu accept the agreement.
Do you understand the difference between Democrats trying to take credit, and Israelis and Arab sources attributing the credit to Trump?
One takes credit. The other is given credit.
We shall see if Trump will cover and lie for Netanyahu like Biden did.
I thought you meant evidence Trump was responsible for the ceasefire. For Democrats trying to claim credit here is an example.
No everyone in Israel has admitted that all it took was Trump sending a real estate agent he plays golf with to Israel to do something Democrats refused to do for 15 months.
It is a meme exagerating what happened. Netanyahu did not say “glory to the Islamic resistance” either.
