I use fossify phone too and that happens whenever I hit the home button during a call. The phone app doesn’t show up in the notification bar nor in the task list. Pretty annoying. I’ve tried some alternatives but from what I can tell they come with their own, even more glaring issues.
Yeah it’s one of those internet myths. What they do is mimic their own baby sounds aka meow even when they’re adults but that’s not really a manipulation tactic. We infantilize them by caring for them and they in turn display some of their infant behaviours. Adult tigers in captivity meow too.

I just keep a Windows partition on my PCs for those few occasions where I need it. Usually about a tenth of the drive. For most stuff you can mess around with a vm or wine too but this way is easier imo. And realistically Windows 10 will be fine to use for the forseeable future. It’s still possible to use XP securely even today.

Autohotkey script that shuts the system down whenever someone types out certain key words. They of course include words related to looking up the issue like “help”, “randomly”, “virus” and so on. Not the most sophisticated but one I’ve actually done before.
Edit: Forgot to mention that ahk needs to be installed and the script must be placed in the autostart folder. Both can be achieved on a coworker’s or family member’s machine with a ducky usb stick.

This might vary by region but here in Central Europe hornets are pretty chill. They don’t stray too far from their nests and eat all sorts of less agreeable critters. If anything smaller wasps have something of a reputation here but they’re really not that bad either unless they gang up on you. Most encounters go south because people start flailing about. If you remain calm and careful not to squash them you can simply coexist.
