Mondo Digital called this “The Mount Everest of insane '70s Italian movies”… and they weren’t lying!
Ps It’s insane how stacked the cast is.
I have an interest in opensource software, weird/bad movies and alternative music.

A Roger Corman-produced remake of Forbidden World (1982) starring Marc Singer (The Beast master) and Bryan Cranston.
Few movies are as bonkers as Lam Nai-Choi’s fantasy-horror adventurer.
Roger Corman’s schlocky response to Creature from the Black Lagoon, which was released just two months earlier. Monster from the Ocean Floor was shot in six days on a budget of $28,000. It’s very talky and pretty dull, but it’s not without charm.
Awesome!
Fun fact: the 1977 Jess Franco movie wasn’t an official entry in the series originally, instead being an European film starring Thorne as a similar character named ‘Greta’. When released in North America, the rights were purchased by the official Ilsa rights holders, who redubbed the film to rename the main character Ilsa and incorporate it as an official entry.
Enjoy your watch! :)
Dyanne Thorne reprises her role in the second installment of the grindhouse series. Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks is another over-the-top sleazoid gem.
Roger Corman recycles the spaceships and score from Battle Beyond the Stars to create another low-budget space opera. Space Raiders stars the kid from Sylvester Stallone vehicle Over The Top.
Contemporary dino schlock with fun characters. Very entertaining.
Yup, the bulk of Ho’s cinematic output consists of cut-and-paste jobs like this. These movies are kind of an obsession of mine (😉). The man has also made regular genre movies and they’re solid to almost great. Kind of surprising, considering how bad most of his cut-up ones are.
If you’re interested in Filipino movies of the '80s, check out Elwood Perez’ Silip/Daughters of Eve. Be warned though, that one is super rough to watch.
I’m glad you had fun with it. :)
A legit great movie. Great pick for the watch party!
I’ll have whatever Dustin is smoking…
Seriously though, this is not terrible. I mean, it’s bad, but it isn’t egregiously bad.
Haha! Yeah, I’m aware of Harrison’s claim. I don’t give too much credence to it though. He was doing Z-grade Italian genre movies before his stint in Hong Kong, so he didn’t exactly have the best reputation to begin with. SE-Asian schlock is the last refuge for established actors whose careers are on the downturn.
A pastiche ninja movie made by the Ed Wood of Hong Kong, Godfrey Ho.
A silly, no-budget curio that riffs on science-fiction movies of old.
A super fun exploitation movie with some great characters.
That’s awesome! (and also cute 🦋🧀) :)
A fun kaiju (giant monster) movie, directed by the late, great Ishirō Honda.
He does…
