Being born in the 80s, I was told I was born in the nineteen hundreds. It didn’t feel great.

That’s super cool, but also more of a novelty then something you’d actually want to use to game.

I positively loved this movie as a kid! It’s been many years since I watched it last, but that last view was during adult hood and it’s definitely held up. It has that magical, fantastical feeling you don’t see much in movies any more.

Even as useful as I’ve found it, probably not.

I can’t really say that Ghostbusters for the Master System was a GOOD game lol. I agree though, that map twisted my brain trying to understand the perspective the buildings were drawn in. I also only played the game with a money cheat so I could afford stuff. I think I beat the game a few times, the part at the end of having to time running past the Marshmallow Man sucked.

I think I got the most play time out of R-Type. Honorable mentions, Ghostbusters, Bomber Raid, Rambo, Space Harrier.

I highly recommend the book series! There are enough differences from the show to keep it fresh, AND the story in the books goes much further then the show got to.

I remember being so excited going from 14.4 to 33.6! Don’t even get me started on CD-ROM speeds!

Nostalgia! Riding my bike to a store so I can spend 5 bucks on a PC gamer magazine just for the demo disk. Because downloading a demo was just an obscene proposition with 14.4k dial up modem.

I absolutely adored this game on Genesis! I put so much time into bashing my head against it, such a fun game! Thanks for this wonderful write up!

OP’s claims being verifiable or not, can we all agree that Meta’s interests aren’t benevolent toward competing competitors and their technology? The fact that is even a hint of a reason that admins of lemmy.world had a clandestine meeting with Meta would be concerning. OP’s logic is sound, and if the lemmy.world admins didn’t meet with Meta, they could state as much and dispel the possibility. Or they could entirely lie about it if no NDA was signed, but they haven’t responded to that question which is concerning.

If the admins of lemmy.world struck a deal with meta, maybe agreed to a payment, who knows what a deal like that would look like, would you all still feel comfortable using it as your home instance?
