We’re happy to announce the launch of Raspberry Pi Pico 2, our second-generation microcontroller board, built on RP2350: a new high-performance, secure microcontroller designed here at Raspberry Pi.
With a higher core clock speed, twice the memory, more powerful Arm cores, new security features, and upgraded interfacing capabilities, Pico 2 delivers a significant performance and feature uplift, while retaining hardware and software compatibility with earlier members of the Pico series.
Pico 2 is on sale now, priced at $5.
And still USB micro. This is crazy to release a new board without USB-C in 2024… I guess I’ll wait for WaveShare’s boards to come out.
Awesome news
Dang… make this USB-C and a W variant and I’d buy 10 of them
They say a W variant is coming eventually.
It would have been nice if they had a QFP version. QFN packages are a pain to solder without a stencil.
Hahaha still micro USB, you have got to be kidding me. I stopped buying ESPs without USB-C a long time ago. Actually anything with micro USB for years really. Exception was (only?) the RD6006P and my TC66, but there is no alternative for those.
In any case, how does it compare to ESP or teensy?
