    It’s interesting that you consider their positions to be “misquoting the Bible”.

    The Bible is an incredibly cryptic book with hundreds of contradicting principles.

    I don’t think this is a mistake, it’s an intentional design.

    I’ve never seen anyone misquote the Bible. What I have seen them do is to cherry pick and interpret the Bible to manipulate others, and they’ve been doing this for millennia.

    It’s just interesting that you think your interpretation is the “correct” one and theirs is wrong.

    The mistake is paying any credence to The Bible at all.

      I’ve never seen anyone misquote the Bible.

      Lots of things that the Bible does say gets mis-attributed to Jesus. For example, I’ve been hit with “Jesus taught against homosexuality”.
